Timing routes: Hat, Good, and Peace without spoiling the run
Why restraint beats click count on Hat Man, corner rescues, and peaceful broadcasts — plus when to restart instead of forcing it.

After you clear Viral and bank the quick endings, three menu finales punish the same bad habit: treating every second like a chaos farm. Hat, Good, and Peace reward arrival timing and restraint. This post pairs with phase 4 on Progression.
Hat — do not be late
Hat Man is easy to aim and harsh if you miss the arrival window. Community guides agree: snap on arrival, or a chaos path can steal the run. If the park is already mid-riot when he shows, restart rather than hoping one lucky frame undoes a locked mood. Full steps: Hat ending.
Good — wait for the rescue beat
Hopeful broadcasts need a corner rescue (and related calm subjects) instead of fight coverage. If you already fed Viral-style headlines, the park may not offer a clean Good path — open the menu and try again. Guide: Good. Camera habits that help: Camera beginner.
Peace — let calm own the cycle
Peace leans on protesters / calm signs holding the news cycle. Mixing in scare close-ups mid-route pushes you toward Scared or Viral territory. Stay disciplined about what the TVs are allowed to show. Guide: Peace.
Shared rules for all three
- One subject family per run once you commit — do not “just check” a fight photo.
- Restart early when the broadcast mood is already wrong.
- Confirm in the collection menu, then mark progress against the Endings hub.
- Save Follow the Money for later — the bribe finale is its own timing exam on Follow the Money.
When a character name is fuzzy (Hat Man, Suit, protesters), open Characters. For why the park cares about your headlines at all, skim Lore.
